Berlin Zoo:
Eye to eye with the tiger: The newly designed predator house "Reich der Jäger" has opened in the Berlin Zoo. According to the zoo, instead of a sterile atmosphere, rows of cages and thick bars, "generous and naturally designed" facilities were created. The predator house, which opened in the 1970s, has been modernized. "The old house was no longer up to date - there is no doubt about it," said zoo director Andreas Knieriem on Thursday. It is also clear that the tasks as a zoological institution have developed over the years.
Through four-centimetre-thick panes of glass, guests in the "world of experience" now have almost direct encounters with the animals. An exhibition explains the hunters with questions like "How rough is a tiger's tongue?" or "What are the cons
equences of human intervention in an intact ecosystem?"

To the most important sights with the bus 100, 200 or 300 of the BVG.
It's no longer an insider tip that you can take a free sightseeing tour of the most important and popular sights through the historic center with the 100, 200 or 300 BVG bus in Berlin. Admittedly, the sightseeing tour is not completely free, but most tourists and guests usually have a day ticket or the Berlin Welcome Card anyway, with which you can use this means of transport for free.
For everyone else, we recommend buying two single tickets for 2.60 euros each, one for the outward journey and one for the return journey. You can start the tour at any stop.
Both bus lines are mostly double-decker buses, where you can enjoy a perfect view from the upper deck. If there is no double-decker bus, just wait for the next one, it will definitely be one.
Buses usually run every 10 minutes.
On the bus routes you pass the most important sights of Berlin, which you can see very well from the bus. You can also interrupt the journey and continue later.
Tickets are available online from the BVG (www.bvg.de)
